For me every picture is a work of art. Each photograph is a story, and I am the story teller. The elements of my photographs, they are living, can speak. can move. They will make you happy. They will make you cry. They scream. They are beyond the laws of space and time. They will stir up all five senses inside you .I had read that “a photograph is a slice of life, taken out so cleanly that if at all it is put back in life then everything would run as smoothly as before – Raghu Rai” Thats what I am trying to achieve here. To find myself in these pictures I click. I believe that “when one eye looks through the viewfinder, the other closed eye looks within self. And it is the combination of these that materializes on the print”.
I am struck by a lightning bolt called ‘Impressionism‘. It is a style of painting developed in the late nineteenth century. It is characterized by rapidly done brush strokes and use of colors in their nascent form, without mixing them to achieve the perfect shade. the viewer eyes do the mixing and hence each work of art becomes unique for its viewer.
I realized that what I had been doing with my photography loosely fell into the above description. and voila I had found where I belonged..!! a lot of scientific research has revealed really cool stuff about the dudes who pioneered it in those days. Also I happen to be a follower of many present day gentlemen who follow the same school of art.
HDRs (High Dynamic Range Pictures) is another technique that I am a big fan of. Some how, the real world that I see through my eyes is just not enough. And HDRs come to rescue in just the right way. I am in love with the vibrance, drama and mood that HDRs can create.
I love the ability of the lens to bridge the gap between strangers real fast and real smooth.I love to travel, and photography only becomes a second to eating and breathing, when you are amidst a new place, new culture, meeting interesting people, absorbing breathtaking landscapes.
Abstract Art. A camera teaches you to see the world without it ! Its very interesting to be able to see the everything around you with a fresh perspective.
